Does your air conditioner need a check-up? We provide maintenance for all makes and models of air conditioners and heating units!
During a maintenance check up we first inspect and change the air filter, making sure there is no build-up of dirt and dust. if necessary we will replace the filter with a brand new filter. typically, the air filter needs to be changed once a month. Maintaining the air filter assists in keeping the evaporator coil clean, which is internally located in the unit.
After the air filter, we then inspect the evaporator coils. Some might say that the evaporator coils are the heart of the unit, if left unkept your air conditioner will have poor performance and could lead to a complete A/C unit replacement. It is important to try to maintain and if necessary, have it cleaned.
Following the evaporator coils, we then inspect the condenser coils. These are different than your evaporator coils. These are located outside on the air conditioning unit. These need to be kept clean in order for air flow to move freely around them. Repairing smashed coils are highly recommended. However, sometimes coils are smashed but corroded. In this case they must be replaced, in some cases replacing the unit is recommended.
Refrigerant Levels - We will check the levels of refrigerant in your system. A low refrigerant level will signify a leak. We will discuss options with you, if this is the case.
Checking Drainage - Making sure drainage is clear, which will assist in preventing water backups.
